Gulf Region's US$ 3.9 Billion Leather Market

According to Euromonitor International, the value of leather imports and exports across the GCC was US$3.9 billion in 2013, including semi-finished and finished leather products, travel goods, accessories, handbags, and footwear.

The UAE holds the lion’s share of the figure, at USA$2 billion, while Saudi Arabia, which also is a big manufacturer of leather products, saw USA$1.1 billion worth of leather imports and exports in 2013.
